Korea Policy Chair

RAND’s Korea-related activities receive support from the Korea Policy Chair. Established through significant sponsorship from the Korea Foundation, the chair expands RAND’s research capabilities in areas of relevance to the Korean peninsula. The chair leads partnerships with research institutes in South Korea, organizes seminars, and mentors junior scholars at RAND.

The current chairholder is Erik Mobrand, a senior political scientist at RAND. As chair, he is building a portfolio of work centered on ROK-US ties and Korea’s relations in the Asian region.
