This 16-page flyer describes the RAND Gulf States Policy Institute and summarizes some of the research it has tackled since its founding in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina. RAND Gulf States supports federal, state, and local decisionmakers by objectively analyzing the issues relevant to long-term well-being and growth in the Gulf States. RAND Gulf States Policy Institute research has included protecting the coast from future storms and continuing erosion, providing housing and education for populations in need, educating tomorrow's workforce, and improving the resilience of Gulf States communities.
